Dynamic speakers from engineering corporations discuss career and strategies for success.

The Women in Engineering and Peer Group Discussion Class is designed for female freshman engineering students. The course consists of four components:

  • Dynamic speakers from industry discuss their strategies for success in all disciplines of engineering
  • Lively class discussions surrounding a variety of topics including resume writing, business etiquette and alternative engineering careers.
  • Weekly peer group meetings facilitated by senior engineering students.
  • Facility tours to leading edge engineering corporations.

In addition to the Women in Engineering Seminar and Peer Mentor class, the Women in Engineering Program also provides students with the following services

  • Sponsorship: Be paired up with an upperclassman in your major!
     
  • Professional Mentoring: Have the opportunity to meet and shadow women in industry!
       
  • Scholarships: Information and applications for scholarships encouraging females in engineering!
     
  • Counseling: Personal advisement from our faculty and staff!
     
  • Society of Women Engineers(SWE):a 100 student organization of women just like you.
