Position Available

Several PhD student positions are available immediately in the group. The research in the position is to study the dynamics of amyloid proteins and protein aggregation and toxicity mechanisms using the computational and experimental techniques.

Students with Chemical Engineering degree and bio-related research experiences are preferred while those with Bioengineering / Biomedical Engineering/ Material / Polymer degree will also be considered. Research experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: molecular modeling, atomic force microscopy, SPR biosensor, surface engineering, biomaterials synthesis, and tissue engineering.

Assistantship will be provided. Interested applicants please email the CV, transcripts, TOEFL and GRE scores to Dr. Zheng via zhengj@uakron.edu.
